COMPUTER SYSTEM FOR THE MANAGEMENT OF THE OPTIC LA VIOLETICA LAS TUNAS

Abstract

The Provincial Pharmacy and Optical Company of Las Tunas, is a health institution in charge of marketing medicinal products of industrial origin and medical equipment, repair eyeglasses and other optical items, whether produced or acquired, as well as carving, cutting and mounting optical lenses. To this end, it has two fundamental networks consisting of pharmacies and opticians, the latter has nine units, at the rate of one per municipality and two in the provincial capital. In them, several processes are carried out, which are carried out manually, and as a result the security and veracity of the information is jeopardized, losses are incurred, unpunctuality and it is not possible to obtain reports quickly and effectively. . For this reason, the present work was oriented to obtain a computer system for the management of the information that allows to manage the orders, transfers and stowage cards of the optical articles, as well as the sales receipts, the entry and exit book, the waiting list of patients, the corresponding reports, besides generating several reports and guaranteeing the efficiency and quality in the process of control of optical articles, eliminating difficulties and existing risks in them. For this, different technologies were used, among them: Yii as a server-side framework, Boostrap as a client-side framework, PHP as a programming language, MySQL as a database manager and the Extreme Programming XP methodology.
