This research aims to analyze and evaluate the use of educational software at secondary level. It is a projective methodological study with an exploratory descriptive field approach, a questionnaire was applied to a sample of 23 teachers and 90 students belonging to the population under study. The data collected was analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively by means of a statistical study, represented in graphs and tables that allowed to infer conclusions referring to the analysis and evaluation of software used by the teachers in the Escuela Secundaria General No. 6 Cuauhtémoc, of Mazatlán, Mexico, place where This investigation was carried out. The conceptual approach was based on characterizing the benefits of the use of educational software as a learning tool. According to the survey we can see that there is a deficit in the knowledge of the tools in both teachers and students entering the media classroom, however 100% of those who enter this space comment that it does facilitate teaching the use of educational technology. Finally, recommendations were suggested aimed at making the use of software more efficient and the support that must be provided for this tool to make the educational process effective.
