Abstract

Currently, software quality is a critical factor in system development, as it directly impacts reliability, performance, and user satisfaction. Software testing plays a fundamental role in software quality assurance by validating system behavior. However, in many environments, testing processes are still performed manually, which may lead to inefficiencies, limited traceability, and potential risks affecting product quality. The objective of this work is to develop a technological solution to improve the monitoring and automation of the software testing process within the systems development department of a public university. The proposed solution consists of two main components. The first is a web-based application designed to manage testing requests, monitor project progress, and facilitate test result consultation. The second component is a continuous integration platform that automates the execution of unit, functional, and performance tests, as well as static code analysis. Extreme Programming (XP) was adopted as the development methodology. The system was evaluated using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and the System Usability Scale (SUS), focusing on perceived usefulness, ease of use, and usability. The results indicate that the proposed solution improves process efficiency, optimizes resource utilization, and enhances software quality.
