Abstract

This article details the implementation of osCommerce, a free content management system, as an easy, fast and secure solution to national electronic commerce, the characteristics, technical requirements and advantages it offers, as well as its implementation in a local furniture store. For the realization of this project a previous study was carried out on the most used CMS that contain a module for electronic commerce or are specially designed for it, verifying that these handlers allow a reliable, efficient and powerful environment, from the management of bases of data until the design and / or modification of a safe and user-friendly interface for the development of the project, these drivers were the CubeCart, the osCommerce, openXpertya and MAMBO.
